I began working on this piece at the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association's Camp Brotherhood Symposium in the summer of 2015. After many hours of trial-and-error learning tehniques that I've never attempted before (specifically the inlaying of the gems and the "pinning" of the finished piece to the base), "Oracle" is the result. This piece was carved from a beautiful "Powder Blue" variety of Blue Dream Jade® and is inlayed with white grossular garnet. All materials were harvested from Bull Trout Jade's claims in Western Washington.
